THE B-BOY ALLSTARS
The original B-Boy Allstars was a 3-man breakdancing act formed for the express purpose of competing in a dance competition on Channel 10.
Busk didn't have a very high opinion of the acts that were winning the dance section of a tv talent quest.So he entered the B-Boy Allstars with a loosely coreographed routine of mostly breakdancing moves.
This was the early 90's, and breakdancing was regarded with horror by the dance "establishment" who comprised the judging panel
But the format of the show allowed a vote by viewers, and the BBAS's won the hearts of the nation.
Week after week they were swept toward the final, going down only when the judges regained control on the night of the Grand Final.

He said later that if he knew that was going to happen he would've thrown in a few nude headspins!!! |
